Travis Petersen is a West Coast native, born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. A world traveller and lover of food from an early age, Travis began cooking in his mid teens and fell in love with the joy of cooking for others.
In 2016, after appearing on CTVs Masterchef Canada, Travis left his career in the Oil & Gas Industry and started The Nomad Cook - a culinary brand that offers unique dining experiences. In 2018, Travis saw an opportunity and embraced a booming industry, championing the acceptance of cannabis nationwide through food.
In April 2018 Travis started The Infused Dining Series; a travelling Pop Up restaurant featuring cannabis infused menus. Over the following 17 months, The Nomad Cook would serve over 2500 Canadians their first infused dining experience and would start to gain international attention from the United States, UK & Australia. Chef Travis writes cannabis infused recipes for Post Media, which publicizes monthly through their national news organization and is developing strain specific recipes for LPs looking to feature their products through creative outlets.
